Made without egg, flour, dairy, or added sugar, these baked oat bites are the perfect breakfast or snack for babies and toddlers! They’re tasty, nourishing, and delicious warm or cold! I topped them with sliced banana and chocolate chips but you can top with the toppings you more like!
Ingredients
120g oats
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 small ripe banana
120ml milk of choice (I used oat milk)
40g smooth peanut butter (or nut butter of choice- you can leave it out if you wish)
1 tsp vanilla extract - optional
1-2 tablespoons maple syrup/agave syrup or honey (avoid honey for babies under 1 year old) - optional- I didn’t use it
chocolate chips and banana slices for topping - optional
Method
Preheat the oven to 180° C and line a loaf pan with baking paper. (You might need to slightly alter the baking time depending on the size of your pan).
Place oats, cocoa powder and baking powder into the blender and pulse until it forms a fine powder.
Then add all the rest of the ingredients and pulse again until well combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan. If desired, top with sliced banana and chocolate chips.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let it cool and serve!
Enjoy!
