This Banana Overnight Oats recipe is a healthy breakfast that you can make ahead of time for simplify your mornings. Iā€™ll give you this basic and simple recipe that can easily be customised to suit your kids preferences!

Ingredients:

(1 portion)

  • 1 ripe banana

  • 50g porridge oats

  • 1 tsp chia seeds (optional)

  • 100ml milk of choice

A few ideas for what you can add:

  • 1 tsp peanut butter, or any nut butter

  • Handful of raisins

  • 1 tsp maple syrup

  • 1 tbsp desiccated coconut

  • 1 tsp cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

  • Grated apple

  • Grated carrot

  • Pinch of cinnamon


Method:

  1. In a medium bowl smash the banana.

  2. Then add all the rest of the ingredients

  3. Give everything a really good stir together.

  4. Cover the bowl and place it in the fridge and allow it to thicken up overnight.

  5. The next morning add a little of milk if needed and add toppings of choice.

  6. Enjoy!
