HOMEMADE PIZZA with basil
This homemade pizza recipe is super simple to prepare and make! Topped with loads of healthy and whole ingredients homemade pizza is the perfect balance meal almost everyone of every age loves to eat!

Ingredients

for the Pizza dough

  • 220ml room temperature water

  • 1 bag of 7g dried yeast, or 20gr fresh yeast

  • 1tsp sugar

  • 400g strong white flour

  • 20ml olive oil

  • 1tsp salt

Method

  1. Place water, sugar and yeast in a large mixing bowl and mix well.

  2. Add flour, salt and olive oil and mix.

  3. When almost combined move to a flat surface and knead into a smooth ball.

  4. Transfer the dough into a large bowl.

  5. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel or cling film and leave to rise until doubled in size (approximately 1 hour).


HOMEMADE PIZZA with basil

you have here two options for the shape of your pizza: option 1 - ROUND PIZZA SHAPE:

  1. Divide the dough into 3 small balls (we usually do two adult size 250g and 1 baby pizza around 170g or whatever left)

  2. Put the tree balls in a baking tray and again leave to rise until doubled in size (approximately 1 hour) I usually put the tray in my oven, make sure is not ONšŸ˜‚

  3. gentry stretch the dough into a round pizzaā€™s shape (check the video below for more details)

  4. Top with the tomato sauce and bake for 15 minutes in a preheated oven (230@C). We are doing this to cook the base properly.

  5. Top now with your favourite toppings and bake for approximately another 10 minutes (230@C) or until the mozzarella cheese is melted and golden.

  6. Allow to cool a bit before serving.

  7. Enjoy! šŸ• šŸ˜‹



Option 2 - RECTANGULAR SHAPE:

  1. gentry stretch the dough into a rectangular shape or the shape of your baking tray.

  2. Top with the tomato sauce and bake for 15 minutes in a preheated oven (230@C). We are doing this to cook the base properly.

  3. Top now with your favourite toppings and bake for another 10 minutes (230@C) or until the mozzarella cheese is melted and golden.

  4. Allow to cool a bit before serving.

  5. Enjoy! šŸ•šŸ˜‹

  • Fresh chopped tomatoes šŸ…

  • Roasted potatoes or butternut squash šŸ„” šŸŽƒ

  • Mushrooms, sliced šŸ„

  • Ricotta
