OATMEAL BALLS šŸ„„šŸ«

Iā€™m always try to find a different way to serve Grace oatmeal, so she doesnā€™t get bored of it šŸ˜…šŸ˜‚ So here we go the oatmeal balls

I did two different flavours:

  • coconut & blueberries

  • chocolate & coconut

And I have to say they are both delicious! šŸ˜

(cooked in a panšŸ˜‰)

Ingredients:

(make 8 small balls)

  • 1/2 cup oat flour

  • 1 small ripe banana (mashed)

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 2 tbsps desiccated coconut + extra for coating ā€¢a handful blueberries (cut in half) or 2 teaspoons cocoa powder

  • coconut oil for greasing

Method:

  1. Mix well all the ingredients together (apart from the blueberries and cocoa powder) and formed a nice sticky ball.

  2. If itā€™s too dry, gradually stir in a bit of milk.

  3. If itā€™s too wet add more desiccated coconut (thatā€™s depending on the size of the banana do you use).

  4. Now if you chose the blueberries version just add them to the mixture and mix gently, if you choose the chocolate version add the two teaspoons of cocoa powder and mix very well. (or you can do half and half like me and all you have to do is separate the mixture in two different bowl, add the blueberries in one and 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder in the other one).

  5. Now roll the mixture into 8 equal sized balls.

  6. In a non sticky pan heat a bit of coconut oil over medium heat.

  7. Cook the balls in batches until browned on all sides.

  8. Transfer them to a plate tand roll in some dedicated coconut so that they are covered.

  9. Leve cook for 5 minutes and serve! šŸ˜‹

šŸ‘Note: Modify and cut food according to your childrenā€™s age to avoid chocking hazard
