👶🏻 Suitable from 6 months, for baby under 8 months you can serve this sauce with a larger pasta shapes, easier for baby to hold

ONE POT PASTA & LENTILS
This one pot pasta & lentil is such an easy and nutritious meal! Lentil are a super food: high in minerals and fiber and a fantastic source of protein!

Ingredients

(serve 2 adults and one toddler)

  • 1 400g (240g drained) can of green or brown lentils, rinsed

  • 150-200g small pasta of choice

  • 1/4 onion, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp lazy garlic or 1 minced garlic

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 5-6 cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 tsp salt (avoid for younger babies)

  • Parmesan, for serving - optional but recommended

Method

  1. In a saucepan sauté garlic and onion in olive oil until golden

  2. Add the cherry tomatoes, the lentils and a glass of water and cook for 5 minutes, until the water boils

  3. Add the tablespoon of salt and the pasta and cook over low-medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked, adding a touch of water if needed

  4. Season with salt and pepper and serve with grated parmesan cheese

  5. Enjoy!
